Proactive interview: ACG Metals’ Gediktepe Project Stays on Track Amid Global Uncertainty

ACG Metals  is pressing ahead with its Sulphide Expansion at the Gediktepe project in Western Turkey, with leadership confirming the development remains on time and on budget.

Chairman and CEO Artem Volynets reassured investors that geopolitical tensions in the region have had zero impact on operations, stating it’s “business as usual” at the site thanks in part to Gediktepe’s location in Western Turkey, well removed from areas of regional conflict.

Construction Milestone Reached

Vice President of Projects Graeme Rapley confirmed that the final major piece of mill equipment has arrived on site and is now seated on its foundations. Construction crews are actively progressing with:

  • Structural steel installation
  • Flotation cell assembly
  • Thickener infrastructure

What’s Coming

The flotation plant is expected to come online mid-2025, at which point the operation will shift from producing gold and silver doré (from oxide ore) to a full suite of copper and zinc concentrates with gold and silver by-products.

Production Outlook

ACG Metals maintains its 2025 guidance of 20,000–22,000 tonnes of copper equivalent, with life-of-mine average production targeted at 20,000–25,000 tonnes annually.
