Artem Volynets’ interview with Mining Journal: ACG continues to seek highly profitable copper assets during M&A window

ACG’s recently acquired Gediktepe mine in Turkey should have transitioned to a primary copper producer and could have a copper bedfellow by this time next year, chief executive Artem Volynets told Mining Journal on the sidelines of the Future Minerals Forum in Riyadh this week.

The company booked a US$200 million bond raise late last month to finance development and commissioning of a sulphide plant at Gediktepe in March next year. This would transform the mine from its precious-metal oxide legacy to a copper mine with zinc and precious-metal credits, delivering 20,000-25,000 tonnes CuEq for an initial 11 years.
